Key Summary: Patro Nepal is an offline-first application. We do not collect, track, or share any personal information. All your personal reminders, notes, and preferences remain strictly on your physical device.
1. Zero Data Collection & Offline-First Operation
No Personally Identifiable Information (PII): We do not ask for or collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, contact lists, or physical locations.
No Analytics or Trackers: We do not integrate third-party tracking libraries, advertising SDKs, or behavior trackers (such as Firebase Analytics, Google Analytics, or Meta SDK).
No Account Required: You do not need to register, create an account, or log in to use all features of the application.
2. On-Device Local Data Storage
All data created inside the application is stored entirely on your local device:
Personal Reminders & Events: Any recurring events, anniversaries, or diary entries you create are stored in an encrypted/private local database (Isar Database). This data is never sent to the internet.
User Preferences: Settings such as language (Nepali/English), calendar system (BS/AD), theme mode (Light/Dark), and widget style are stored locally using Android and iOS native preferences (SharedPreferences).
3. Device Permissions & Purpose
Patro Nepal requests only the minimum system permissions necessary to operate:

POST_NOTIFICATIONS Android 13+
Used exclusively to display scheduled reminder alarms you create and to show the optional daily persistent notification bar showing today's date and tithi.
RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED
Used solely to re-register and schedule your existing local reminder alarms whenever your device reboots.
We do not request access to Camera, Microphone, Contacts, Photo Library, or GPS Location.
4. Children’s Privacy
Patro Nepal is compliant with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Because our application collects zero personal information, it is safe for users of all ages, including children.
5. Data Retention & Deletion
Since all data resides on your physical hardware:
You can edit or delete individual events and reminders at any time inside the app.
Clearing the app's cache/storage or uninstalling the app permanently erases all locally saved records immediately.
